Release Date Set for The Dark Tower

In a bit of surprise, Sony Pictures has announced a release date for The Dark Tower as January 13, 2017. That is an interesting release date for what is supposedly a tentpole movie but considering the weirdness of the book series and the extreme challenge if presents for adaptation, the lack of other competition might actually be wise.
